Introduction

The AHP GT controllers series drive stepping motors for usage in astronomy.
A GT controller can drive small NEMA14 or NEMA17 stepper motors, can drive Step/Dir external drives and can be reconfigured to fit gear ratios, maximum speed and acceleration rates of various mounts. Can also receive commands and instructions from a SynScan handset.
The Sky-Watcher command protocol used by the GT controllers was extended to allow reconfiguration of the controller parameters, keeping itself backwards compatible.
